ai case study - i used chatGPT to create a resume summary header for my 17yr old son
my son Colin is getting ready to finish high school and i asked him to start looking for a part-time job before he heads off to school this fall. asking him to create his resume might have been a great learning lesson for him, but i couldn't resist the efficiency of using chatGPT in this case.

i have to also admit - i felt a little guilty about this shortcut too, but i hope i've taught him that there is always more than one way to do something. work smarter, not harder as they say.
so i explained what chatGPT was and showed him how i would prompt it to make us a summary intro for his resume.
here was the prompt and the response i got back in this case:

the response was incredible.
i'm a good writer but it would have taken me some time to come up with such an effective and succinct summary intro such as this to be perfectly honest.
chatGPT is good at stripping emotion away as well in each of it's use cases. because this is my son i am emotionally attached to it and probably would have gone through many revisions of this simple paragraph. hell, if i could have A/B tested in real life I would have too lol
every day i'm realizing more and more use cases for chatGPT in real life, but moreover, chatGPT reduces the mundane tasks in life
in the future, we wont write, we will "prompt" and that too is a little scary to consider.
what is your thought on this? please tweet me at @saastrash
